Skoda Top Among Nine Out Of Ten Owners - Again!

Skoda’s customers have again demonstrated how satisfied they are with their cars. In the 2004 Auto Express Driver Power survey, more than nine out of ten Škoda owners said that their car has lived up to their expectations. Škoda Octavia owners weighed in at 95 percent and owners of Škoda’s supermini Fabia, at an outstanding 95 percent.

Škoda achieved an overall satisfaction rating of over 87 percent, the second highest rating among manufacturers and an increase of four places over the 2002 survey. Octavia was rated seventh overall, a jump of six places over the 2002 survey, with an overall satisfaction rating of 87.55 percent. The Fabia, ranked 12th overall, received a rating of 86.43 percent.

The Auto Express Driver Power survey incorporated responses from more than 37,000 readers. Owners were able to rated their cars in the ten key areas of build quality, performance, ride, handling, comfort, braking, ease of driving, practicality, reliability and running costs.

Škoda scored particularly well in running costs, proving, as Auto Express commented, "that the dealer network is doing a decent job of keeping servicing prices down". Also cited were practicality, ease of driving and ride quality.

The Driver Power survey is more proof, from nine out of ten savvy Škoda owners, - following on from the Which? magazine owner survey several months ago - that Škoda delivers an outstanding driving and ownership experience.
