Skoda Continues Its Support For The Edinburgh Fringe Festival
Published: 31st July 2001
The Škoda Fringe Gala is an opening night par excellence, as it allows the all-media audience to preview a variety of fresh new talent showcasing their acts, some for the very first time in public. The venue for this year’s opening night moves to Edinburgh’s top club "Ego and Out", in Picardy Place, and promises to provide an atmospheric setting with four different performing areas.
The Fringe Festival and Škoda have become something of an item over the last three years as both brands continue to represent unique propositions - the Fringe through its ability to provide an innovative platform for progressive new talent, and Škoda through its clever and innovative advertising campaign that seeks to challenge the public’s perception of the brand. Edinburgians and some 700,000 visitors to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival will see evidence of Škoda’s industry-leading supermini, the Fabia, as it sprints from venue to venue during the "Greatest Show on Earth".
Director of the Fringe, Paul Gudgin, is delighted with Škoda ’s
continued support, saying: "They are fantastic to work with because
they understand the spirit of the Festival, and are always up for new
ideas, new venues. Their support has allowed the Opening Gala to grow
both in size and eminence".
