Jo Clarke of Skoda Business Sales, who first met Vista’s Fleet Manager Emmanuel Lewis at an HSBC Track Test at Silverstone Race Circuit in May, takes up the story. "Vista Retail Support has a fleet of vehicles that cover the country and I was keen to show Emmanuel just what the Superb has to offer. We subsequently lent him a demonstration model and I am delighted that it has led directly to this request for two new Superbs."
"Our cars are expected to travel in the region of 90,000 miles in a three-year period", explains Vista’s Emmanuel Lewis, "and obviously we are looking for quality, reliability and value-for-money. In recent years, Skoda has moved forward immeasurably in the first two instances and, having studied the market very carefully, I know that the Superb cannot be beaten for value."
The Superb Comfort specification includes several technical innovations designed to make driving a pleasurable experience. Rain sensors that automatically activate the wipers, an auto-dimming rear view mirror to protect against headlight glare, parking sensors and a multi-function steering wheel with cruise control are all standard features, providing Skoda ’s famous "extra bit of car".
For added convenience, the Superb’s standard equipment includes Coming Home function, SkiSack behind the rear armrest, an umbrella with built-in holder and CatVision ambient lighting. All of these features add up to Skoda’s aim of providing an "extra bit of car."
The Superb is Skoda ’s flagship and tops a range that includes the supermini Fabia, the new Octavia hatch and Skoda’s sporty vRS models. All provide Skoda’s "extra bit of car" and the customer service that earned Skoda and its retailers second place overall in the 2004 J. D. Power Customer Satisfaction Survey.
