Škoda Auto has appointed Bickerton Garage to operate their newest retail outlet located in Sheffield. This will be the fourth sponsored site in the UK.

Bickerton Škoda will commence trading from their new location on Penistone Road from October 2003. This new venture will recruit additional staff to support their continued growth.

The total development cost is about £1.3 million, and provides Škoda and Bickerton Garage with a flagship outlet incorporating the brand’s new corporate retail design.

Škoda’s choice of Bickerton Garage who have held the Škoda franchise in Sheffield for 20 years, demonstrates Škoda’s commitment to developing the brand through a partnership with private owner-operators and small family/group businesses and it’s commitment to retaining its existing retailers.

John Crutchley, Managing Director and his team have a wealth of experience in the retail motor trade and in particular knowledge of the Škoda franchise. His commitment and enthusiasm for Škoda flows through every strand of running the operation and he is very passionate about the product as well as the importance of caring for customers.

John explains; " We are delighted to have been chosen as the preferred operator for Škoda in Sheffield. Family values are important to me and I like to run the business like an extension of my family. This reflects in how I operate the business and how we all interface with customers. Our customers can expect the high quality family service and customer care of which we are proud."

Bickerton Garage commenced trading in 1980 as a partnership and became a limited company in 1982. Through their long experience, they have developed an excellent reputation for customer service in both sales, and aftersales through a team of importer trained skilled professionals. Their current site is constrained for space and with the growth in vehicle sales and car parc it is critical that they relocate to a larger facility.
