The total investment of the project into the community is approximately £1million. This new venture will see Derek Slack Motors recruit additional staff to support their continued growth.
Derek Slack Motors, who have held the Škoda franchise in Middlesbrough for almost 10 years, demonstrates Škodas commitment to developing the brand and retaining its existing retailers.
Derek Slack Motors have been trading for over 30 years, starting in 1973 in a rented workshop. They moved to their current premises in 1984, converting a warehouse into a workshop, parts and showroom. They became a Unipart Car Center in 1993 and in 1995 won the Car Care Center of the Year Award.
Derek, his son Tony and their team have a wealth of experience in the retail motor trade and in particular the Škoda Franchise. Their commitment and enthusiasm for Škoda flows through every strand of running the operation and they are very passionate about the product as well as the importance of caring for the customers.
Tony says, "We are really looking forward to moving to
our new premises. This will allow us to provide a much-improved
environment and service for our customers. We have developed an
excellent reputation over the years for customer sales and aftersales
through a team of 17 skilled professionals."
