The Skoda Fabia Sport is on its way to the UK. Not content with the success of the sporty vRS range, Skoda is introducing the Fabia Sport as well. Based on the recently updated Fabia supermini, the Fabia Sport proves that credible sports styling is available in a car that also provides great value.
Powered by Skoda’s 1.4 16v engine, the Fabia Sport’s looks will be enhanced by it eye-catching rear spoiler, 15" alloy wheels, front fog lights and a chrome exhaust. Inside, sport seats and leather-wrapped sports steering wheel will add to the laid-back urban style.
Skoda, with more than a century of sporty cars and motorsport excellence to back it up, is introducing the new model to make its combination of sporty value available to even more car owners. The ultra-successful Fabia vRS has been purchased by more than 3,500 UK drivers since its launch in 2003, and Skoda anticipate selling 800 Fabia Sports in a full year.
Priced at just £9,750 on-the-road, the Fabia Sport comes with standard equipment such as air conditioning, including a cooled glovebox and drinks compartment; ABS brakes, a six-CD autochanger, driver and front passenger airbags, power steering and immobiliser. The Fabia Sport will be available in just four sporty colours - Diamond silver, Black Magic, Corrida Red and Dynamic Blue.
The technical specification bears out Fabia Sport’s combination of sportiness and value. The 1.4 16v engine delivers 75 bhp, with combined fuel consumption of 43.5 mpg. The insurance group rating of 4E will add to the great value as well.
Both modern and original like the rest of the Fabia range, the Fabia Sport provides all the essentials for modern sporty driving while delivering Skoda’s legendary great value, both in purchase price and operating costs.
Available in Skoda retailers across the UK in January 2005, the Fabia Sport will join the rest of the Skoda line-up, including the new Octavia hatch, the supermini Fabia, the vRS Fabia and Octavia, and the top-of-the-range Superb.
