Value-packed models like the Ambiente SE range, the Classic 1.9 TDI, the 4x4 Estate and the thrilling Octavia Vrs are the backbone of the range that helped push Skoda to the top ranks of customer service. And now prices are falling, effective 1 July, by an average of over nine percent.
The Classic 1.9 TDI is now priced at just £10,700, a reduction of £1,170. Entry-level it may be, but it has all of Skoda’s great value included, with power steering, central locking and safety features like ABS braking and driver and front passenger airbags.
The Ambiente SE is available with a choice of four engine and transmission combinations with new prices ranging from £11,100 to £13,490. With price reductions of £1,270 – and a whopping £1,400 for the popular 1.9 TDI PD 130 bhp version – and standard equipment like alloy wheels, metallic paint, cruise control and a multi-function steering wheel, the Ambiente SE is, indeed, Skoda value in action.
The sporty 1.8T, 180 bhp Octavia vRS is even better than ever. With a new price of just £13,990, it’s gone from cracking to stonking, and with all of its sport equipment in tact, from the front spoiler to the stainless steel exhaust. It is also available in an estate version, now priced at just £14,690, a reduction of £1,545.
The new Octavia, which will overlap with the current range, goes on sale in the UK on 19 July. Built on an all-new platform, it will have the interior space of an upper medium sector car for the price of a lower medium sector one. With prices starting at £10,750 and excellent equipment levels, it will certainly carry on the tradition begun with the current Octavia of bringing an extra bit of car to Skoda buyers.
