Czech Out The Car Hire At St Michaels

Published: 9th October 2003
St Michaels Car Hire in Tenterden, Kent has recently taken ownership of its latest Superb 1.9 TDI 100 PD for its fleet of private hire cars.

The Company, the longest established private hire firm in the area, is gradually changing over 9 cars in their 12 vehicle fleet to the popular Czech saloon, replacing cars such as the Vauxhall Omega and Peugeot 406. The new addition means they now have four Superbs on their fleet, all of which are used for chauffeuring services seven days a week.

Sandra Sutters and Alan Watson, partners at St Michaels Car Hire, are delighted with their recent purchases, "We had never considered running a Škoda until we sat in the back of a Superb. We brought our first one in May this year and haven’t looked back. Our cars are achieving 50mpg and, with variable servicing, aren’t requiring servicing until nearly 24,000 miles. Plus the drivers love them and two of our customers have been converted to ardent Škoda supporters! Over the next year we will be replacing the remaining five cars on our fleet with Superbs.

All the cars are have been supplied by Autosales Limited, the Škoda retailer in Bilston, West Midlands. Matthew Evans, the Fleet Sales Manager at Autosales, has developed a great business partnership with St Michaels Car Hire. Matthew commented, "It is always encouraging when a new customer is converted to Škoda. More and more people like Alan and Sandra are realising the great value and quality that Škoda represents because of the excellent build quality and specifications, low running costs and remarkable reliability."

Autosales was one of the first Škoda Retailers to become a Business Sales Centre in 2002. In the last fifteen months, it has seen its sales to business customers increase dramatically and the customer base spread nation-wide. From selling virtually no cars to businesses in 2001, they smashed their target in September 2003 by over 200 per cent.

The Škoda Business Sales Centre programme was established to enhance the services offered to small business through the Škoda retailer network, regardless of the size or the type of business. Fully trained business support staff, such as Matthew, are responsible for sales, after-sales and customer care, ensuring a tailored service as individual as the needs of the clients.
