Skoda Scores Big In Auto Express Driver Power 2005

Skoda has retained its place among the very best in the industry for customer satisfaction by being ranked second among all manufacturers in Auto Express Driver Power 2005. This is the second consecutive year that Skoda has achieved second place in the survey of more than 50,000 drivers. Auto Express commented, “Maintaining its second place has been easy for Skoda, a manufacturer with some of the most satisfied customers in the business.”

The Skoda Octavia was ranked fourth among the top 100 models, moving up three places from 2004, and second in its Family Car class. Auto Express commented, “Of all the movers and shakers in the 2005 Driver Power survey, the Octavia’s jump from seventh place to fourth overall is by the most impressive…The Octavia seems to be getting better and better with age.” Although the model included in the survey is the previous-generation Octavia, The judges went on to say, “By Driver Power 2006, it is sure to have left an impression on its owners. Following in the tracks of its predecessor won’t be easy, but early indications are that we had better get used to seeing an Octavia near the top of the chart.”

The Fabia placed seventh overall and second in its City Car/ Supermini category. One of the survey respondents commented, “It has stood up to all the punishment it has been given. 10/10!”

In a separate section of the survey in which readers rated their retailers, Skoda retailers moved up five places to be ranked fourth overall. Skoda ranked second as having the most helpful dealers, third in the level of workmanship and fifth in technical knowledge. One reader commented, “I’m on first-name terms with the employees [at my dealership] and nothing is too difficult. My car is serviced within a day and a courtesy model is always offered.”
