Mencap Appoints Skoda

Skoda has been awarded solo supply status by the UK’s leading learning disability charity Mencap.
Milton Keynes retailer Pilling Motor Group will supply the fleet of Octavia Ambiente hatchbacks to the organisation for employees travelling over 10,000 business miles per annum. The Fabia Ambiente hatchback will also be available to workers preferring a smaller car, and both models will be made available in petrol and diesel.
Susan Kernachan, Fleet Manager for Mencap, comments, “After many years of offering our employees a triple badge choice of company cars, we made the decision to switch to a single supplier as part of a cost cutting exercise. As a charity, one of our concerns when looking for vehicles is value for money. However, many of our employees travel a considerable distance on a daily basis, so it is essential the vehicles are reliable.
“When reviewed against other suppliers, Skoda came out on top, offering by far the best value for money.”
Martin Burke, Head of Business Sales for Skoda UK, added, “ The Octavia 1.9 Ambiente is becoming an increasingly popular fleet vehicle as it is a B-sector car at A-sector prices, and includes great extras. Features such as a six CD autochanger, trip computer, air conditioned glove box and remote central locking all come as standard in this trim.
