A competition to help launch the Skoda Fabia vRS, launched in November 2010, aimed to find the meanest and loveliest people on Facebook, and then award them a new Skoda.

Points were awarded for the number of friends on Facebook and how many people wished them happy birthday, friends could also award mean and lovely points to each other.

A Skoda Fabia as seen in the Skoda "Cake" advert, would be awarded to the loveliest entrant, whilst the meanest entrant would receive a Skoda Fabia vRS, star of the "Made of meaner stuff" advert.

Matthew Browne of Llanelli was the winner of the Skoda Fabia vRS, and when he collected the car from his local retailer, Sinclair Skoda, he commented "I am absolutely delighted with the car. I saw the advert on television and really liked it, so when I heard about the competition I entered. I had no idea I am so mean!"

Bobby Green from Essex was awarded the Skoda Fabia GreenLine II from Willis Skoda in London for being the loveliest person on Facebook. She commented: "Oh my gosh, this is fantastic! I am genuinely a lovely person and make a real effort to keep in touch with people on Facebook. I can't believe Skoda has rewarded me in such an amazing way; the car is better than I could possibly imagine. I'd like to thank them very much, they are lovely too!"

Heidi Cartledge, Head of Marketing at Skoda adds: "The competition was a success with Facebook users and it caused a real buzz throughout the social networking community. We're really pleased to hand over the cars to the winners and it’s great to see how much they love them already. To make things easier for Matthew and Bobby, we've also paid for 12 months tax and insurance, so all we have to do now is wish them happy motoring."
