New SEAT Ibiza FR tops the range

The new SEAT Ibiza FR (Formula Racing), the sportiest and most powerful model in the Ibiza range, is now available at SEAT dealerships costing £13,515 on the road.

The Ibiza FR is equipped with a 1.8 litre 20-valve turbo-charged engine which delivers performance to complement its racy looks. Its 150 PS (110 kW) output gives the Ibiza FR a top speed of 134 mph and acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 8.4 seconds, placing this version firmly at the top of the Ibiza range for performance. An even sportier ride has been achieved in the FR through modifications to the chassis and suspension. Stiffer coils, a change in the diameter of the front anti-roll bar and a modification to the way the rear axle is anchored to the chassis result in sharper handling with less rocking.

The Ibiza FR also has strikingly different looks from the rest of the range thanks to its five double-spoke, titanium-coloured 16-inch alloy wheels. The use of the same smoky titanium colour on the door mirrors, headlamps and taillight housing, helps to define its sporty look. The front bumper has been specially designed for the FR and has honeycomb mesh over the air intakes. At the rear, the bumper reveals a chromed double exhaust. Special FR badging is in bold black and red on the B pillars.

The Ibiza FR interior also has its own distinguishing styling created by highlights with a metallic finish on the instrument panel, central console, air vents, gear knob and glove compartment handle. The steering wheel, gear stick gaiter and handbrake lever are leather bound with grey stitching. The new style seats are upholstered in a novel metallic effect fabric.

The SEAT Ibiza FR price of £13,515 on the road includes VAT, delivery, 12 months’ road tax and first registration fee, 3-year mechanical warranty, 12-year anti-corrosion warranty and 5-years’ SEAT Assistance including European cover.
