SEAT Celebrates A Record Start To 2006

SEAT is enjoying a vigorous start to the new year, thanks to a highest ever share of the UK new car market and its best January registration figures to date.
The sporty Spanish brand attracted huge interest during the first month of the year, across all models in its range. Against a contrasting background of falling UK new car registrations - down by 13.3 per cent - SEAT was able to increase its sales by 78.5 per cent compared with the same month last year.
The outstanding success of the ‘New Year’s Revolution’ campaign, along with increasing interest in latest models such as the Leon and Altea, meant that SEAT dealers were happy to be rushed off their feet in the post-Christmas return to work.
Kevin James, Director of SEAT UK, said: ‘We are delighted to have experienced such a fantastic start to the new year. Despite the tough economic climate, SEAT has attracted record numbers of customers by offering great cars and strong value.’
SEAT is looking to continue the momentum as it approaches the all-important ‘new plate’ change. For example, the handsome and dynamic Ibiza 1.2 Reference is currently available at participating dealers for just £6,995, and comes as standard with power steering, electric windows, twin airbags, ABS, remote central locking and a CD player. There are also low-typical-APR Solutions finance plans available on selected models.
The sporty yet practical Altea 1.6 and 1.9 TDI Reference Sport models, meanwhile, are currently offered at participating dealers with £2,000 off their list prices, at £10,495 and £11,495 respectively.
The seven-seat Alhambra is revised for the 2006 model year, with a fresh look and a new 2.0-litre TDI 140 PS engine. And if customers hurry, there are savings to enjoy of £2,500 on the outgoing 1.9 TDI Reference and 1.9 TDI Stylance models (at participating dealers while stocks last) and special low-typical-APR Solutions finance plans on selected models.
SEAT recommended retail pricing is on the road, including first registration fee, plates, 12 months road tax, three year/60,000 mile mechanical warranty, 12 year body warranty and two year SEAT Service Mobility valid in over 30 countries in Europe and its borders.
