Saab Is Fastest Growing Marque In UK Premium Car Market

Saab is maintaining its spectacular growth in the UK, with sales last month up by 133 per cent over July last year, in a total new car market that was down almost 5 per cent.

The Swedish premium car marque has also seen sales rise by 31 per cent in the first seven months of the year, making it the fastest-growing manufacturer in the declining British premium new car market segment.

Saab’s UK sales to date are 14,584 - led by the acclaimed 9-3 Sport Saloon and 9-3 Convertible. The 9-3 Convertible is the only soft-top to have achieved a five star Euro NCAP safety rating, and demand for this stylish convertible still exceeds supply. The Saab 9-3 was the second best selling premium convertible in July, outselling more mainstream German brand offerings. Sales of the accomplished Saab 9-5 range are also running at record levels, with the diesels in very high demand.
