  • New 9-3 Airflow models available from £19,995 with a choice of Saab’s advanced 120 or 150 bhp 1.9 TiD turbo diesel engines.
  • 9-3 Airflow models represent exceptional customer value, with key equipment upgrades, amounting to savings of between £650 and £740 when compared to their standard 9-3 TiD equivalents.
  • The arrival of the Airflow range has been designed to increase the availability, and reduce waiting lists, for the highly sought-after Saab 9-3 TiD Sports Saloon to UK motorists.

Struggling to keep up with the runaway demand for the recently-launched high-performance range 9-3 1.9 TiD turbo diesels, Saab GB is introducing the 9-3 Airflow collection, in order to improve availability to British retail buyers, whilst offering exceptional value for money.

The Saab 9-3 Sports Saloon 1.9 TiD Airflow models represent savings of between £650 and £740 compared to the equivalent standard 9-3 1.9 TiD model. All Airflow models are fitted as standard with a number of additional features, such as upgraded alloy wheels, an advanced Saab Infotainment System, and a rear boot spoiler for the Vector versions, all at no extra cost to the buyer.

"Such has been the response to the standard tax-busting 9-3 1.9 TiD Sport Saloons that the Trollhattan factory has been unable to keep up with demand, running the risk of potentially lengthy delivery delays," says Jonathan Nash, Saab GB’s Managing Director. "This has been caused in part by a shortage of Saab’s innovative maintenance free particulate filter that is usually standard for the 9-3 1.9 TiD. Now, however, Saab’s engineers have found a way around this problem with the arrival of the 9-3 1.9 TiD Airflow models, which are not fitted with a particulate filter."

Despite this, the new Saab 9-3 1.9 TiD Airflow Sport Saloons have identical fuel economy and performance to the regular TiD models. The CO2 rating for the 150 bhp Airflow’s engine is unchanged, at a tax-efficient 159 g/km, whilst the 120 bhp TiD CO2’s figure is marginally higher than the regular 154 g/km rating, at 157 g/km. All Airflow models comply with current EU Euro III regulations, and are available with a six-speed manual transmission only, in Linear Sport, Vector and Vector Sport forms.

Prices are identical to the regular Euro IV Saab 9-3 TiD models, ranging from just £19,995 on the road for the 9-3 Linear Sport Airflow 120 bhp model, up to £22,495 for the range-topping 150 bhp 9-3 Vector Sport Airflow.
