Saab 9-3

In Car Entertainment and Satellite Navigation

Saab Infotainment System (ES1-7) is standard on Vector models and includes AM/FM stereo tuner with RDS & single slot CD player this system can be upgraded with optional hands free telephone and an in-dash CD changer. As an option the most frequent functions can be remotely controlled with buttons on the steering wheel. The ES1-7 Sound System has a total amplifier output of 150 W and seven loudspeakers, including a special front centre speaker that improves the sound distribution.

Our test car was equipped with Saab Infotainment Plus (ES4-13) with navigation and AVR (2150 option). Advanced Voice Recognition lets you operate with less distraction. Allows you to control navigation, telephone, radio and CD changer. Push a button in the steering wheel and speak your command from a predetermined menu. You get guidance and confirmation of your request by voice.

The DVD-based GPS navigation system featured a wide-screen colour display for maps and menu control functions. This system was very intuitive to use you just type in the address you wish to travel to and select your preferred route its as simple as that.

The optional prestige 300 Sound System includes 13 loudspeakers, two amplifiers with a total output of 300 W. Includes a dedicated subwoofer and a front centre speaker to enhance the sound experience. This system was superb and the sound quality is excellent which is especially helpful for a convertible where exterior noise can detract from audio pleasure.

Value For Money

The Saab 9-3 Vector Convertible is competitively priced at £28,304 OTR within the premium convertible car segment. It features an impressive list of standard equipment and an options list that won't break the bank. Used Saab 9-3 Convertibles are highly desirable commanding high residual values.
