Created for Masterpiece London 2011, the Rolls Royce Phantom features bespoke design details including teak decking, engraved tread plates and Spirit of Ecstasy with an inscription which marks the centenary of the bonnet icon.

The Rolls Royce masterpiece Drophead Coupe is the first Rolls Royce to feature Mazarine Blue paintwork, a bespoke finish available alongside the current 44,000 shades available for Rolls Royce Phantom customers to choose from. The colour is inspired by the Mazarine Blue butterfly.

For the interior, the leather comes in Seashell with Navy Blue contrast for floor and door panels and embroidered R-R logos finished in headrests. Also featuring is a yacht inspired teak deck and mother of pearl inlays throughout cross-banded Santos Palissander wood veneers. The instrument dials are white, as are the rotary controllers and clock with mother of pearl finish.

"We are delighted to present this outstanding Rolls Royce at Masterpiece London 2011," said Torsten Muller-Otvos, CEO Rolls Royce Motor Cars. "Craftsmanship and attention to detail shine through in features developed at Goodwood and in partnership with Asprey. It's a model that demonstrates the breadth of our bespoke offering, where the only limit to what we can deliver is a client's imagination."

The Asprey Jewellery Case

The Asprey jewellery case fits into the passenger glove compartment and uses the softest grade-one suede cut into 15 pieces.

It features a detachable earring holder and can be interchanged for clip earrings or studs. There are two sections for cufflinks and a separate compartment for the owner's most precious rings.

The Bespoke Luggage Set

The luggage set fits inside the picnic boot of the Rolls Royce Masterpiece Drophead Coupe. The leather hides used to craft the bespoke set of four cases were selected for the firmness and grain structure. They were tanned in pits, which is a slow artisanal technique which produces hard-wearing and supple leather taking four months to complete. The resulting Navy Blue leather is hardwearing and has an aroma of vegetable tannins from the bark, wood and berries which are used to stabilise and pigment the hides.
