Rolls Royce Hosts The PistonHeads Sunday Service at Goodwood

Many guests used to opportunity to take part in a tour of the Rolls Royce factory, which provided a behind-the-scenes look at the manufacturer's facilities.

Goodwood in West Sussex, home of Roll Royce hosted the third annual PistonHeads Sunday Service on 24th july 2011. The lawns which surround the company's head office and manufacturing plant saw a display of over 400 classic, sports and super cars, 100 more than in 2010.

For the first time, the cars were joined by motor bike, with 70 members of the Riders Association of Triumph (Washington Rat Pack) joining the event with their bikes.

Many guests used to opportunity to take part in a tour of the Rolls Royce factory, which provided a behind-the-scenes look at the manufacturer's facilities. More than £3000 were donated by attendees to the company's house charity The Luke Cory Trust.

"We were delighted to welcome PistonHeads back to Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and extend a warm greeting to the Riders Association of Triumph (Washington Rat Pack) for the first time," said Torsten Muller-Otvos, Chief Executive of Rolls Royce Motor Cars. "We were graced with exceptional weather thatattracted an intriguing mix of beautiful and unusual cars and motorbikes." He continued, "I am overwhelmed by the generosity of our guests - my sincere thanks to everyone who donated to our house charity - and I look forward to welcoming PistonHeads back again in 2012."
