Authentique is the entry-level model in the New Grand Scénic range and is available with one petrol engine – 115hp 1.6 16V VVT – and one diesel unit – 100hp 1.5dCi common rail diesel. All these models are fitted with a five-speed manual transmission. Each of these models is also available with manual air conditioning for £500 extra.

Expression is the next model in the New Grand Scénic range and will add the six-speed manual 1.9 dCi 120 model to the range. It also adds the following standard equipment:
Electronic parking brake, folding front passenger seat with integrated table, automatic headlamps, front foglamps, rain sensitive automatic wipers, electrochrome rear view mirror, one-touch front and rear electric windows, air conditioning with pollen filter including cooled glovebox, 60 Watt single CD/radio with six speakers and fingertip remote control, front and rear reading lights, rear side window sun blinds, body-coloured door handles and door mirrors, lumbar adjustment for driver’s seat, adjustable front headrests and ‘Papyrus’ beige cloth upholstery.

The biggest engine and transmission choice is available on the Dynamique model – which Renault expects to be the most popular variant – with five versions. One additional engine – the 136bhp 2.0 16V VVT petrol - is added featuring both the six-speed manual transmission and four-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift manual override.
The following standard equipment is added to the Dynamique:
16-inch ‘Nervastella’ alloy wheels, satin chrome door handles, insurance approved CAT1 alarm, leather steering wheel and gear knob, and ‘Laser’ charcoal grey cloth upholstery with grey piping.
