Renault Opens Order Book For The Modus

At launch there will be 14 models available, across four trim levels each portraying a different sense of style, with the top-of-the-range Initiale version due in 2005:

The entry-level Authentique includes all of the standard equipment listed above as well as having body-tinted plastic bumpers and a 60/40 split "Triptic" rear seat. Its cabin environment emphasises neutrality and simplicity with dark carbon as the predominant colour.

In addition to the core equipment on Authentique, Expression benefits from six airbags, body-painted coloured bumpers, electric front windows with one touch control, electrically operated and heated door mirrors, height adjustable driver’s seat, ‘Stay Put’ pocket system in the front passenger seat, temperature gauge and a 30W single CD RDS radio with 2 speakers and fingertip controls. The Expression’s interior is bold and bright and brings a splash of colour with red or blue for its upholstery and centre console.

Dynamique adds a sporting note with its charcoal grey upholstery and leather steering wheel and gearlever, plus a chrome satin finish for the door handles, gearlever knob, parking brake button and dashboard centre console. As the mid-range offering, it has all of the Expression’s standard equipment plus alloy wheels, body coloured door mirrors and integral front fog lamps.

The top-of-the range Privilège has a luxurious interior with soft touch door panels and dashboard, with beige seat trim which conveys an upmarket sense of elegance and refinement. The flagship model has automatic front windscreen wipers with rain sensors, automatic headlights, child surveillance mirror, cornering headlights, electrically operated and heated folding door mirrors, electric rear windows, manual air conditioning, storage under driver’s seat, plus a 60W single CD RDS radio with 4 speakers and fingertip controls.
