Hatch

The five-door version of the New Renault Mégane – the Hatch – is available in four trim levels– Authentique, Expression, Dynamique and Privilège – offering a wide choice of standard equipment, engines, trims and colours to suit every pocket, while each variant offers a choice of option pack and individual options.

Authentique is the entry-level model in the Renault Mégane Hatch range and is available with two petrol engines – 98bhp 1.4 16V and 115bhp 1.6 16V VVT – and one diesel unit – 80bhp 1.5dCi common rail diesel. All these models are fitted with a five-speed manual transmission.

In addition to the core features as mentioned above, Authentique offers the following standard equipment on New Mégane:

Electric front windows with driver’s side one-touch operation, 60 Watt Radio Cassette with six speakers and fingertip remote control, front underfloor storage bins, ‘Lizo’ charcoal grey cloth upholstery, body coloured bumpers, smart rear wiper, accessory power socket, and outside temperature gauge (dCi only).

New Mégane Authentique also offers the option of the Handling Pack - ESP Traction control and CSV understeer control and tyre pressure monitor - plus these other individual options – ESP Traction control and CSV understeer control, air conditioning and pollen filter, rear lateral airbags, tyre pressure monitor, metallic paint and pre-telephone equipment.

Expression is the next model in the New Mégane Hatch range and will add a five-speed automatic transmission with manual override to the 1.6 16V VVT engine later in the year. It also adds the following standard equipment:

Automatic headlamps, front foglamps, rain sensitive automatic wipers, electrochrome rear view mirror, one-touch front and rear electric windows, air conditioning including cooled glovebox, electric/heated body coloured door mirrors, front and rear centre armrests with storage, 60 Watt single CD/radio with six speakers and fingertip remote control, body-coloured door handles, lumbar adjustment for driver’s seat, adjustable front headrests and ‘Damier’ cloth upholstery in a combination of grey and beige.

Expression also offers three option packs – Climate, Handling and Comfort – plus the following individual options:

Automatic unlocking and ignition with Hands-Free Renault Card and electrically folding door mirrors, Carminat turn by turn navigation, heated front seats, climate control with heat reflecting windscreen, dash mounted six CD multichanger, panoramic sunroof, ESP traction control and CSV understeer control, rear lateral airbags, tyre pressure monitor, metallic paint and pre-telephone equipment.

The biggest engine and transmission choice is available on the Dynamique model – which Renault expects to be the most popular variant – with seven versions. Two new engines – the 136bhp 2.0 16V VVT petrol and 120bhp 1.9dCi common-rail diesel - are added as well as the six-speed manual transmission, standard on both these engines. The 2.0-litre will also be available with the five-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift manual override later in the year.

The following standard equipment is added to the Dynamique:

16-inch ‘Nervastella’ alloy wheels, satin chrome door handles, flint grey metallic-finish rubbing strips, insurance approved CAT1 alarm, leather steering wheel and gear knob, and ‘Ruche’ charcoal grey cloth upholstery with grey piping.

Dymanique also offers three option packs – Climate, Handling and Comfort – plus the following individual options:

17-inch ‘Nervasport’ alloy wheels, cruise control with speed limiter, leather upholstery, Xenon headlamps, automatic unlocking and ignition with Hands-Free Renault Card and electrically folding door mirrors, Carminat turn by turn navigation, heated front seats, climate control with heat reflecting windscreen, dash mounted six CD multichanger, panoramic sunroof, ESP traction control and CSV understeer control, rear lateral airbags, tyre pressure monitor, metallic paint and pre-telephone equipment.

The top-of-the-range Mégane Hatch is the Privilège, which is available with the three most powerful engines – 115bhp 1.6 16V VVT, 136bhp 2.0 16V VVT and 120bhp 1.9dCi – and five-speed automatic and six-speed manual transmissions.

Privilège adds the following standard equipment:

Automatic unlocking and ignition with Hands-Free Renault Card, 16-inch Reinastella alloy wheels, automatic climate control with heat reflecting windscreen, 60 Watt dash mounted six CD multichanger and RDS Radio with six speakers and fingertip remote control, ‘Zaire’ Beige part leather/part cloth upholstery, electrically folding door mirrors, driver’s sunglasses holder, illuminated vanity mirrors and front carpet mats.

Privilège offers two option packs - Handling and Luxury – plus the following individual options:

160 Watt ‘Cabasse’ dash mounted six CD multichanger, cruise control with speed limiter, leather upholstery, Xenon headlamps, Carminat turn by turn navigation, heated front seats, panoramic sunroof, ESP traction control and CSV understeer control, rear lateral airbags, tyre pressure monitor, metallic paint and pre-telephone equipment.

Sport Hatch

The three-door version of the New Renault Mégane – the Sport Hatch – is available in two trim levels– Extreme and Dynamique – reflecting the model’s sporting positioning in the market.

Extreme is the entry-level model in the Renault Mégane Sport Hatch range and is available with one petrol engine – 98bhp 1.4 16V– and one diesel unit – 80bhp 1.5dCi common rail diesel. Both these models are fitted with a five-speed manual transmission.

In addition to the Renault Mégane’s core features, Extreme adds the following standard equipment:

16-inch Nervastella alloy wheels, anti-submarining airbag for front seats, Electric front windows with driver’s side one-touch operation, 60 Watt Radio Cassette with six speakers and fingertip remote control, front underfloor storage bins, ‘Lizo’ charcoal grey cloth upholstery, body coloured bumpers, accessory power socket, time delay courtesy lights and outside temperature gauge (dCi only).

New Mégane Extreme also offers the option of the Handling Pack - ESP Traction control and CSV understeer control and tyre pressure monitor - plus these other individual options – ESP Traction control and CSV understeer control, air conditioning and pollen filter, rear lateral airbags, tyre pressure monitor, metallic paint and pre-telephone equipment.

As with the Hatch model the biggest engine and transmission choice is available on the Dynamique Sport Hatch model. Again seven models feature with two extra engines – the 115bhp 1.6 16V VVT and 136bhp 2.0 16V VVT petrol plus the 120bhp 1.9dCi common-rail diesel - as well as the six-speed manual transmission, fitted with the 2.0-litre and the 1.9dCi. The 1.6 and 2.0-litre engines will also available with the five-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift manual override later in the year.

The following standard equipment is added to the Dynamique:

17-inch ‘Nervasport’ alloy wheels, cruise control with speed limiter, leather upholstery, Xenon headlamps, automatic unlocking and ignition with Hands-Free Renault Card and electrically folding door mirrors, Carminat turn by turn navigation, heated front seats, climate control with heat reflecting windscreen, dash mounted six CD multichanger, panoramic sunroof, ESP traction control and CSV understeer control, rear lateral airbags, tyre pressure monitor, metallic paint and pre-telephone equipment.

Option Packs

To allow New Mégane customers to personalise their new car even more, Renault is offering a long list of optional equipment to add to the already long list of standard equipment on every model.

In addition four different option packs - grouping popular options together at a lower price than the combined costs of the individual options – will also be available on New Mégane. They are as follows:
