New Renault Clio Renaultsport 182 Cup - Driving Pleasure | Part Two

Renault has listened to its customers and is delighted to announce its new Clio Renaultsport 182 Cup will have both manual air conditioning and ABS as standard. Manual air conditioning replaces the standard automatic climate control on the Renaultsport 182. In addition, unlike the Clio Renaultsport 172 Cup, ABS, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and cruise control and speed limiter are all fitted as standard on the new 182 Cup.

To ensure it stands out from the crowd even more, the Clio Renaultsport 182 Cup is only available in two colours, Racing Blue and the new Inferno orange colour. The new 182 Cup will also be instantly identifiable with its exclusive 'Cup' badges on the base of the B pillar in line with the rear windows.

Like the Clio Renaultsport 182, the Clio Renaultsport 182 Cup also benefits from an insurance group of 16D.

For your driving pleasure…

Specifically designed for those looking for top performance and driving enjoyment, the Clio Renaultsport 182 Cup is 20 kg lighter than the existing Clio Renaultsport 182 helping the Cup version to deliver an improved 0-62 time of 6.9 seconds (compared to 7.1 seconds for the 182). As with the Clio Renaultsport 182, the Cup 182's 2.0 16v engine develops a mighty 182 hp at 6,500 rpm and a torque of 200 Nm at 5,250 rpm.

The Clio Renaultsport 182 Cup benefits from lower ride height, stiffer springs (20% front, 15% rear) stiffer dampers (20% front, 10% rear), strengthened front wheel hub carriers, revised steering geometry and the eye-catching distinctive dark grey anthracite coloured Renaultsport alloy wheels as standard. All of these features contribute towards enhanced driving pleasure and allow the driver to really feel fully involved with the performance of the car.

The Cup spoiler package consists of an enlarged rear spoiler and additional lower front spoiler enhancing the exterior sporty look of the car, whilst improving the aerodynamics. Customers also have the choice of two options on the Clio Renaultsport 182 Cup; white Competition Stripes on the Racing Blue version at £95 and Metallic Paint (£325), which is the Inferno colour option.
