If you are looking to buy an electric vehicle then the offer of a free wall-box charger might tempted you to look at the Renault ZOE.
Customers who buy a new ZOE will receive an installed 7kW (30A) wall-box charger which will charge the car from empty to full in around 3-4 hours, which according to NEDC test data will give arrange of up to 149 miles (real world around 70 – 100 miles depending on how and when the car is used).
The wallbox can be installed indoors or outside with the option of a tethered or socketed cable – there is some protection from unauthorised use and it is backed up by a four year warranty from the installer Chargemaster. You will need to be a Renault retailer customer and have access to off road parking and a source of electricity.
Once installed you can apply for access to the Polar network of public charging points, charges may apply.
