The Renault Scenic compact MPV has added another trophy to its ever-growing list of accolades with CarBuyer's 'Best MPV' award.
Based on a wide range of product and ownership criteria, the French marque's stylish five-seater fought off a series of contenders to take the prestigious title at the website's inaugural awards.
Accepting the award at the Geneva Motor Show last week, Renault UK Managing Director, Thierry Sybord, commented, "I'm delighted to be accepting this latest award for our best-selling MPV. Our third-generation Scenic possesses all of the traits which have lead to its multiple award wins over the years, and just as importantly, real-world plaudits from all kinds of owners, thanks to its impressive comfort, fuel economy, practicality, reliability and safety levels."
Speaking about Renault Scenic's impressive debut win, Dan Strong, CarBuyer's Editor, said, "It's the car that started the compact MPV revolution - and it's still leading from the front. Our panel of experts all agreed - the Renault Scenic offers fantastic value for money and is designed to take whatever family life can throw at it. The hard-wearing interior is comfortable and well equipped, while a range of new diesel engines, including the excellent 1.5-litre dCi offer good fuel economy and impressive performance."Published 8 March 2011
