Renault And Barnardo's Celebrate Partnership With New Car Prize Giveaway

A lucky couple are the recipients of a brand new car thanks to a UK lottery competition held by Barnardo’s, the UK’s leading children’s charity, who are Renault UK’s headline charity.
Carol and Roger Munt from Essex purchased their lottery ticket for just £1 and, after being picked from thousands of entries, they are now the proud owners of a brand new Renault Modus 1.6 Dynamique, a prize worth more than £11,000 which was donated by Renault.
The keys for the Modus were handed over to Mr and Mrs Munt at special presentation ceremony at Renault Ilford by the dealership’s General Manager, Ian Plummer. Renault’s funky Mini-MPV Modus is the first-ever five-star small car after it achieved the maximum five-star rating in Euro NCAP independent crash tests, and its deceptively spacious interior has proved a hit with customers and the Munt’s who are delighted with their new car!
"We’re thrilled to help such a worthy cause as Barnardo’s and to have won such a fantastic prize!" said Mrs. Munt, "Barnardo’s is a charity that is particularly close to our hearts as Roger was adopted as a child so we were keen to support its prize draw. We never dreamed we’d win but our new Modus is really stylish and practical. We love it already and are looking forward to driving it!"
Barnardo’s runs prize draw lotteries of this nature three times per year, and, on this occasion, over £450,000 was raised for the charity. Tickets are sold through partnerships with individuals and groups, and the money raised helps to support Barnardo’s projects around the country.
Renault UK has shown its commitment to Barnardo’s work in a variety of ways from supplying VIP cars and chauffeurs for celebrities at key fundraising events, supplying transport vehicles for a variety of events and activities, through to donating the top prize in our Spring Lottery 2005 - a 1.6 Renault Modus.
