Life is sometimes all about perfect timing and Renault has it spot on with the arrival of its New Mégane Renaultsport 225 Renault F1 Team special edition in UK showrooms this week, perfectly coinciding with victory in Bahrain for the Renault F1 Team in the opening round of the FIA Formula One World Championship.
The 2005 World Champion Renault F1 Team and Fernando Alonso got the 2006 F1 Championship season and their title defences off to a fantastic start, with Alonso winning a hard fought battle with Michael Schumacher to win the Bahrain Grand Prix 2006.

Created in honour of Renault F1 Team’s double 2005 FIA World Championship wins, which saw Renault claim the World and Drivers’ Championships last year, the Mégane Renaultsport 225 ‘Renault F1 Team’ provides the thrill of driving on the road that the R26 race car does on the track.
It comes in the eye-catching Renault F1 Team decals and detailing featuring the F1 Team logo and metallic blue paint. Each car has its own numbered plaque and includes amongst its standard features the sporty Cup chassis, large black gloss 18" alloy wheels that are 1.5kg lighter than Mégane Renaultsport 225 and 8" wide Vs 7.5" and Recaro seats in blue/ black cloth to echo the exterior styling.

Re-tuned front and rear damper settings, uprated front and rear spring rates (25% front and 77% rear), de-connectable ESP for track days, revised stiffened electrically assisted power steering and Brembo front brake callipers and increased brake master cylinder diameter all come as standard on the Mégane Renaultsport 225 ‘Renault F1 Team’ special edition. Keeping your cool is also assured with climate control.
