Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet 'Monaco' Special Edition

Forget Prada. Move over Sienna Miller. If you want to be a style-setter, then the hottest thing to be seen with this summer is the new ‘Monaco’ special edition of the Renault Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet, bringing a touch of affordable glamour and Mediterranean chic to our shores.

This sleek, four-seater with its unique folding glass roof as standard, is already the UK’s best-selling, medium-sized drop-top this year, outselling the likes of the Mazda MX-5, Peugeot 307 CC and Vauxhall Astra. Now, taking its inspiration from the allure and elegance of the Principality of Monaco and Renault’s affinity with its Formula One street circuit, the Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet Monaco looks set to go top of the style charts too.

Ensuring that you look a million dollars on the road without having to win a fortune on the tables at the Monte-Carlo Casino, the new Monaco versions come with £1,835 worth of extra luxury and style features. These include such must-haves as 17" ‘Louxor’ alloy wheels, full leather upholstery, climate control and metallic paint for just £1,000 more than the equivalent Dynamique model on which it’s based, giving a customer saving of £835 on these popular options.

While its elegant lines turn heads on the outside, the Monaco’s occupants can also revel in the car’s impeccably appointed interior. The new special edition boasts a dark carbon interior with new dark grey and red leather trim with red stitching for the seats, steering wheel and gear knob, with satin chrome effect for the dashboard dials, handbrake and gearlever base. While the car draws admiring glances, its folding glass roof will ensure the car’s passengers can bask in the envious looks as well as the sun, whether the roof’s up or down.

Metallic paint comes as standard, in a choice of four colours: Flame Red, Mercury (silver), Eclipse (dark grey) and Pearl Black, with a range of options such as six CD multi-changer and pre-telephone equipment to make the car even more opulent for the more discerning customer. Aptly, cruise control with speed limiter and heated front seats are also available for those who wish to be seen coasting serenely up and down boulevards even after the sun has set.
