Summer sales Success For Proton Cars UK

Proton Cars UK has announced another successful month for the sale of new cars.
Despite the general downturn in the new car market, Proton’s new car sales in August 2006 increased by 79% on last year’s figures. The increase comes at a time when the August new car market is down 6.1%†. Proton has also seen car sales rise in every month this year compared to last year, although the market has fallen in every month except May during 2006†.
According to the company’s General Sales and Marketing Manager, Simon Park the summer success for Proton continues a positive year for the Malaysian car manufacturer in the UK:
‘A dedicated dealer network that continues to grow, our great new five door city car - the Savvy and our commitment to national press and television advertising campaigns all add up to a sales increase of just over 48% year on year,’ he said.
