Proton GEN-2
How It Looks - Interior
In our opinion the interior styling is the GEN-2's achilles heel - it is not a nice place to be. There is far too much plastic and odd design touches that do not work.
The circular styling of the controls works relatively well but they were awkward to use on the move and too flimsy. The taupe and gold plastics and beige carpets were definitely not to our taste.
In Car Entertainment and Satellite Navigation
The GEN-2 range is fitted with as standard an integrated Blaupunkt RDS radio/CD Player, with steering wheel mounted audio controls. However, these controls were too small to be practical on the move. From GLS specification upwards, you get a boot mounted 10 disc auto-changer as standard.
