The newest hot hatch to hit town is Peugeot’s long-awaited 206 GTi 180. Promising to take over the mantle of the much admired 205 GTi, this new generation ‘pocket-rocket’ has all the driveability, acceleration and buzz any GTi fan might need with the added benefits of executive car safety equipment, and class leading driver and passenger comfort levels.
Following in the footsteps of the outstandingly successful 206 WRC, this new GTi takes up ‘pole position’ in the 206 range with its good looks enhanced with sports trim that includes twin chrome exhausts, rear spoiler, 17" alloy wheels, racing style sports seats and aluminium sports trim. This new ‘lion’ on the block is on sale in Peugeot dealer showrooms now from £14,995 on the road.Safety
To ensure that GTi owners are protected to the highest standard, safety equipment includes ESP, EBFD and ABS. There are driver and passenger airbags, two side head/chest airbags and seatbelts with pre-tensioners and force limiters. In the rear, both seats have a three-point seatbelt and height adjustable head restraints. Another safety feature is automatic hazard light activation in the event of sudden braking.
Comfort
All models are equipped with automatic digital air conditioning, a heat reflective athermic windscreen, automatic windscreen wipers with rain sensor, automatic headlights and electrically heated and folding door mirrors. A radio/CD auto-changer can hold up to six CDs, which is stored in the boot.
Colours
The 206 GTi 180 is available in four stunning colours Flamenco Red, Aegean Blue, Aluminium or Onyx Black.
