Peugeot Sets Company Car Drivers Free With 'Independence'

Published: 5th April 2003
Peugeot has introduced a new personal contract hire plan for employees who have a cash-for-cars, instead of a company car scheme. Called Peugeot Independence, it is an all-inclusive motoring package designed to make life easier for non-company car drivers.

Businesses opting for Peugeot Independence have a number of benefits. The driver pays no deposit, just one monthly payment in advance, and then a fixed monthly payment based on a set annual mileage, spreading the motoring costs over the period of the contract. That period can be 24, 36 or 48 months. The contract provides full breakdown cover, car tax and a comprehensive maintenance package. The vehicle is then handed back at the end of the contract, leaving the company without the worry of depreciation, or of disposing of the vehicle.

John Taylor, fleet director at Peugeot comments: "The key advantage of Peugeot Independence is that it is a simple, all-inclusive motoring package which allows employees to get on the road with a new vehicle without any hassle. Independence gets rid of the time-consuming paperwork, lots of running around and endless phone calls. Also, because Independence is a personal contract hire agreement written with the individual, if you decide to change job, you can still take your car with you."
