Ogihara Europe, based in Telford, supplies PSA Peugeot Citroen’s UK manufacturing plant in Ryton, Coventry with all the exterior panels for the recently launched Peugeot 206 SW. Ogihara has just taken delivery of its own new and ‘complete’ Peugeot 206 SW as part of its vehicle fleet, which also includes a number of 406 estates and saloons with a Peugeot 607 on order.
Ogihara has worked with Peugeot from the beginning of the 206 SW project in 2000, when it was involved with helping in the design of the concept car. Ogihara supplies the body pressings, plus the door and tailgate sub-assemblies. Once manufactured, these are delivered to Ryton where the 206 SW is assembled.
Paul Linton, Human Resources General Manager at Ogihara Europe says: "With our involvement in helping to manufacture the 206 SW, it made perfect sense for us to have one on our fleet. It will give us the opportunity to fully test out our products and see how they perform in ‘real life’."
Ogihara Europe is looking forward to being involved with supplying similar parts for other Peugeot models as and when new vehicles are introduced.
Ogihara Europe took advantage of the support and services available through the Peugeot Corporate programme and the cars were supplied by Peugeot’s dealership Telford Motors in Telford.
