The New Peugeot 807: Keeping The Little Monsters Safe And Quiet

Peugeot New 807 With Child Check Safety Mirror

Comfort, style and value are all words synonymous with the new Peugeot 807, but above all it has been designed with one key feature in mind – safety.

  • Class leading: curtain airbags for six people
  • ABS, EBFD, and Brake Assist fitted as standard
  • Optional integrated DVD package
  • Tyre pressure sensors warn of potential punctures
  • Euro NCAP four-star crash protection rating
  • Three-point belts on every seat
  • Largest windscreen in class gives outstanding visibility
  • Unique child surveillance system
The 807 is designed to provide best-in-class levels of safety for all its occupants. Laden with class leading features such as full-length side curtain airbags that protect passengers in all three rows of seats (in addition to the four front airbags), the 807 features a long list of standard safety equipment not found on most of its competitors.

Other standard features such as the latest anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake force distribution (EBFD) combine with emergency brake assist (EBA) to provide the ultimate in passive safety while Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) is fitted to all 2.2 Petrol and 2.2 HDi derivatives.

Additionally, the 807 also features a number of innovations that all serve to keep a family secure while on the move. Door locks that automatically activate when the vehicle exceeds 6 mph feature as standard equipment, while the electrically operated doors – standard on most models – can be operated by the driver only when it is safe for children to leave the vehicle.

A particularly neat feature is the unique ‘child check’ mirror. The mirror unfolds from its housing in the roof and can be angled to provide an additional means of viewing rear seat occupants without having to take your eyes off the road. Ingenious, yet so simple.

However, the need to keep an eye on misbehaving children can be drastically reduced when the optional DVD player is fitted for rear seat occupants. The bespoke system, priced at £2199.00, neatly integrates a DVD player with a colour screen that folds out from the vehicle’s central roof section – making it clearly visible to passengers in both rows of rear seats. A pair of infrared headphones – to minimise driver distraction – completes the package.

Additional safety features such as automatically activated hazard warning lights, tyre pressure warning sensors and three-point seatbelts for all occupants, combine to make the 807 the perfect solution for 21st Century family transport.

And keeping your family safe has never been cheaper. Until 31 March 2003, all new 807s are available with 0% finance over 4 years.
