Double Honours For Peugeot 307 At Top Gear Awards
Published: 5th March 2003
The 307 model range went on sale in summer 2001, with the SW joining the range in spring 2002. All models have class leading levels of safety as well as offering economic petrol and diesel engines. The hatchback offers space and versatility, whilst the 307 SW’s core attributes are its innovative panoramic glass roof, and highly practical seating layout with an ability to seat up to seven people.
Kevin Blick, editor of Top Gear Magazine said: "We have been very impressed with the 307 and its blend of style, safety and driver appeal. For the hatchback to take our Best Compact Car award for the second year running against tough opposition was no mean feat, while the SW model adds seven-seater versatility and makes the 307 our firm family favourite."
Jon Goodman, marketing director at Peugeot said: "These awards are further evidence that the 307 is a great all round vehicle, suitable for singletons, couples or families thanks to its space, versatility and style."
The Peugeot 307 was also awarded the prestigious ‘International
Car of the Year’ title in 2002.
