307 HDi Measures Up To World Challenge
Published: 8th May 2002
World Challenge arranges specialist expeditions for school children to destinations across the world, and helps older teenagers to manage their own fundraising projects for their trips. The company has had a solus Peugeot policy for its 51-strong fleet for more than two years, with cars being supplied by local Peugeot dealership, Warwick Wright City. The latest consignment of ten 307s, supplied on a three year lease, was co-ordinated by Peugeot Corporate, the company’s specialist division for fleets of under 100 vehicles.
The new cars will be used by the World Challenge’s schools presentation team, some of whom drive up to 30,000 miles a year, travelling to schools across the UK. World Challenge considered the 307’s high specification and excellent array of safety features an ideal combination for their high mileage drivers.
Explains Logistics Manager at World Challenge, Erica Brooks: "Because so many of our drivers spend such a long time behind the wheel, it was vital to us to offer them a car which will provide high levels of comfort, but remain economical to run. The 307 HDi fulfils both these requirements and the excellent environmental benefits also mean that the car will bring our drivers a favourable rate of BIK tax."
Commented Peugeot Fleet Marketing Manager, Steve Lambert: "Peugeot
Corporate’s specialist services to fleets aim to help companies
save money on their company car provision while providing the best possible
vehicles for their drivers. The World Challenge order of ten 307s is testament
to the success of this approach, and of the central role that Peugeot’s
370-strong dealer network has to play in delivering excellent service
to our fleet customers."
