Strike a pose this summer in Peugeot’s special edition ‘supermini’, the 106 New Independence, from just £6,495 on the road.
Peugeot has taken the 106 Independence to an all ‘new’ level, with the introduction of power assisted steering, metallic paint and funky new interior trim as standard. Customers will also find a safe and convenient holder for keeping their mobile ’phone and a pen close to hand.
Other main features include driver airbag, radio/cassette and body colour bumpers. A sunroof is available as an option for £170 and a front passenger airbag for £210.
Special limited edition exterior colours for summer are black and silver - following the trend set by the 206 hatchback and Coupé Cabriolet models – as well as Kingfisher Blue, Moonstone and Sahara Yellow.
Peugeot’s efficient 1.1 litre petrol engine produces 60 bhp at 5,500 rpm and 71 lb ft at 3,500 rpm. With low CO2 emissions of just 145 g/km, a combined fuel economy figure of 46.3 mpg, a low B grade vehicle excise duty (VED) banding and group three insurance, the 106 New Independence beats the taxman and won’t break the bank.
Head for the surf with ‘Quiksilver’
Sassy and stylish, the Peugeot 106 Quiksilver model is designed in conjunction with the lifestyle surfboard brand. With Quiksilver detailing on the seat trim and fascia, alloy wheels, radio/CD, electric windows, power steering and a tilt and slide glass sunroof, this model is sure to turn heads on the way to the beach.
Powered by a 1.4 litre petrol engine producing 75 bhp at 5,500 rpm and 90 lb ft of torque at 3,400 rpm, the 106 Quiksilver is also very much a driver’s car, and priced at £9,495 on the road.
