Peugeot Motor Company Plc And Citroen UK Ltd Sign Agreement For End Of Life Vehicles

In line with the requirements of the ELV directive (End of Life Vehicle) due to become legislation on 1st January 2007, Peugeot Motor Company Plc and Citroen UK Ltd have entered into an agreement with Cartakeback.com Ltd to provide Peugeot and Citroen owners with a free, easily accessible, disposal service for their vehicles.

This new service will mean that Peugeot and Citroen owners will be able to take their qualifying vehicles to a nominated member of the Cartakeback network for disposal. This network will cover all regions of the UK and all facilities will operate to a high professional standard complying with the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs’ (DEFRA) requirements.

Recycling rates of 85% by weight will be achieved as early as January 1, 2006.
