Peugeot have announced that the order books are open for the new 308 GT with first deliveries arriving in March 2015.
Available as a hatchback and SW (estate) both feature revised styling, bespoke chassis and lower ride height - prices range from £24,095 to £25,945.
The hatchback model is available with a choice of petrol or diesel engines whilst the SW is available with only a diesel engine.
The 1.6-litre four-cylinder THP 205 Stop & Start petrol engine delivers 285Nm of torque available between 1,750 and 4,500rpm enabling it to reach 0-62mph in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 146mph. C02 emissions are recorded at 130g/km and the official combined fuel consumption figure is 50.4mpg.
The four-cylinder 2.0-litre Blue HDi 180 diesel engine is coupled to an EAT6 (Efficient Automatic Transmission) six-speed automatic gearbox. In the hatchback this equates to a 0-62mph time of 8.4 seconds (SW model 8.6 seconds) a top speed of 136mph (SW model 135mph), C02 emissions of 103g/km (SW model 107g/km) and an official combined fuel consumption figure of 70.6mpg (SW model 68.8mpg).
Standard on every GT model is the Driver Sport Pack which includes: compact steering wheel and head-up instrumentation, amplified and more sporty engine noise, red instrument display, more responsive power steering and acceleration and operation of the EAT6 gearbox, with steering wheel-mounted control paddles – the pack can be switched off via a switch on the centre console for a more sedate driving experience.
The Driver Assistance Pack includes dynamic cruise control, emergency collision alert system and emergency collision braking system.
Blind spot monitoring is available and park assist which automatically parks in parallel or bay spaces.
