Peugeot 307 Road Test
Published: 30th December 2004
Peugeot 307
What We Liked
- Exterior and interior styling
- High level of standard safety equipment
- Excellent integrated stereo, optional Satellite Navigation and GSM telephone
- Automatic rain-sensing windscreen wipers
- Automatic headlights
What We Disliked
- The seat adjustment features a lever to adjust the recline and we found it difficult to get the seat recline correct. A dial adjustment would be much easier to use.
What We'd Like To See
- Xenon headlights as standard on the top of the range model
Build Quality
Overall build quality is very good and there is little to fault. The materials used are of a high standard and should prove durable in the long term.
Value For Money
At £15,320 OTR the Peugeot 307 XSi 2.0 is very good value for money as it offers a high level of standard safety equipment combined with excellent levels of refinement at a very competitive price.
Overall Opinion
The 307 is a practical family hatchback that doesn't compromise on fun.
Peugeot have done an excellent job with the exterior and interior design of the Peugeot 307 creating a beautiful looking car.
Both its performance and handling are commendable but it is no hot hatch. However, it is well worth a look if you want to stay away from more staid manufacturers such as Ford, Toyota and Vauxhall.
