Peugeot 307
Safety and Security
The following safety & security equipment is standard on the Peugeot 307 XSi 2.0:
Driver SMART airbag, front passenger SMART airbag with deactivation switch, front side airbags, front and rear curtain airbags, ABS (anti-lock brakes) with EBFD (electronic brakeforce distribution) and Emergency Brake Assist, ESP and ASR (electronic stability programme and traction control) with deactivate switch, automatic illumination of hazard warning lights, retractable steering column and brake pedal, active front seat backrests, pre-tensioning and force limiting front seat belts, height adjustable front seat belts, three 3-point rear seat belts, two force limiting rear seat belts (outer seats), double angle driver side door mirror, rear door child safety locks, two rear seat ISOFIX location points, key retaining fuel filler cap, ultrasonic alarm, deadlocks, rolling code transponder immobiliser (Thatcham category 2 approved), security coded in car entertainment , lockable glovebox, panic button (internally operated central locking), automatic door re-locking (if door not opened in 30 seconds), automatic locking boot (activated by vehicle travelling over 6mph), key in ignition lock warning alarm, visible VIN number and locking wheel bolts for alloy wheels.
Comfort and Refinement
According to Peugeot's press literature 'the 307 is one of the biggest cars in its class' and this benefits the occupants with excellent head and leg room in both the front and rear - even the 3-door version. The part leather and cloth sports front seats are standard on the XSi 2.0 model and were particularly comfortable and supportive holding you in place very well. Both driver and front passenger's seats are height adjustable. The seat adjustment features a lever to adjust the recline and we found it difficult to get the seat recline correct - a dial adjustment would be much easier to use. The leather trimmed steering wheel is height and reach adjustable enabling the driver to attain the perfect driving position.
The Peugeot 307 XSi 2.0's standard level of refinement is high and includes: remote control central locking, remote control closing of electric windows via key fob, one touch electric windows front and rear with anti pinch feature, electric folding and adjustable door mirrors, electric boot release on tailgate, athermic (heat reflective) windscreen, digital air conditioning with climate control, air-conditioned glove box, automatic rain-sensing front wipers and automatic headlights on, leather trimmed steering wheel and gear knob, electrochrome rear view mirror, trip computer, instrument panel lighting dimmer and external temperature gauge.
