The new Peugeot 208 has scored the maximum five-stars in the latest Euro NCAP safety awards - making the 208 the first car in its segment to do so.

The Peugeot 208 scored - 88% for adult occupant protection, 78% child occupant protection, 61% pedestrian safety and 83% safety assist systems.

Peugeot 208 standard passive and active safety equipment includes: ABS, ESP, six airbags, rear Isofix fixings, speed limiter, front seat belt warning and a collapsible steering column.

The 208 range starts at £9,995 for 3-door VTi 68bhp Access model and raises to £18,495 for the top of the range 1.6 VTi ICE VELVET.
