Peugeot 407

Build Quality

Overall no problems at all, materials are up to the job and everything seemed well screwed together. We were a little concerned about the flap that conceals the auto-changer in the boot and wondered how long it would last with regular use.

Value For Money

At £17,455 OTR the Peugeot 407 SE 2.2 is competitively priced and is very good value for money as it offers a high level of standard safety equipment combined with excellent levels of refinement. The telematics option, comprising of a hands free GSM phone, six disc auto-changer and navigation make reasonable sense at £1,215, especially if you are on the move all the time. It will soon save its initial cost in not missing telephone calls and navigating to appointments on time.

Overall Opinion

The Peugeot 407 is a likeable car with a very high standard specification - add the telematics system and you are moving towards a mobile office. All you need is a way of hooking up your laptop to the internet and away you go. We would like to be able to receive emails via the telematics system.

The 407 certainly surprised us but then Peugeot have a reputation for making the ordinary - extraordinary.

This is a car that does its job and does it well, whether as a company car or family saloon it is stylish and functional with built in safety as standard. Peugeot have done an excellent job with the exterior and interior design of the 407 creating a beautiful looking car that stands out from the more run of the mill average looking saloon cars.
