Perodua Crowns Dealer Of The Year

Perodua UK completed a long-term dealer incentive in March by rewarding the ten most successful dealers of the past six months with a trip to the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang International Circuit. The trip also included a tour of Perodua’s Malaysian factory in Rawang, providing dealers with the chance to see Perodua vehicles in production, to meet with senior executives and to get a glimpse of the exciting future for Perodua in the UK. The Grand Prix provided a thrilling start to the trip and the experience was thoroughly enjoyed by the entire group.

Perodua took the opportunity during an official dinner held in Kuala Lumpur to present the inaugural award for the Perodua UK Dealer of the Year 2002. The award, an engraved Malay warriors’ dagger or Kriss as it is known in Malaysia, was presented to John Childs of John Childs (Garages) in Ashford, Kent. John has been a Perodua dealer since 1999; his customer service performance and consistently impressive sales figures convinced Perodua UK that he deserves recognition for his hard work.

John Childs says: "Receiving the award was a lovely surprise which left me speechless. I genuinely believe in the Perodua product and I am dedicated to making it a success."

The group also spent a couple of days enjoying the tranquillity of the island of Langkawi. Having visited Perodua in Malaysia the dealers are now all committed to making 2003 the best year yet for Perodua in the UK market.
