Qual é a musica?

Published: 20th August 2003
The X-TRAIL is the UK’s most reliable 4x4* so doesn’t cause Nissan’s customer care team much bother. The music on the current TV ad does, though: what is it, where can I buy it… Well, it’s from the sound track of a Brazilian movie that isn’t sold here. But if you call Nissan’s customer caring people on 01923 899334 they’ll send you a copy of the ad track. For free.

The bangin’ new tune that accompanies the X-TRAIL advert currently showing on your screens now is the latest offering from Tejo, Black Alien and Speed. Whilst they are not TOTP regulars, they are big in Brazil and likely to be so over here, as soon as the track gets picked up by Fatboy or FranV ois K.

The track first featured in the Brazilian movie "O Invasor" (The Invader) - an edgy rock and roll story of adolescents growing up in Sao Paolo. With Portuguese Brazilian lyrics, interspersed with cries of ‘RUDE BOY’ (understood on any dance floor) - it has an unpretentious, unedited sound with Miami bass and Afrika Bambaataa influences.

The riotous carnival feel of this song perfectly reflects the X-TRAIL spirit, which above all is dedicated to unadulterated fun.

If you wanna get down ahead of the Brighton Beach and Notting Hill masses, call our Customer Care department who will be more than happy to send you a copy to load onto your iPod or stick in your CD player.
