Nissan Micra 1.5 DCi SX

Safety and Security

The following safety & security equipment is standard on the Nissan Micra 1.5 dCi SX:

ABS (anti-lock brake system) with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), Brake Assist, driver and passenger front airbags, driver and front seat mounted side airbags, height adjustable front head restraints, three adjustable rear head restraints, 3-point ELR seatbelts front and rear, Keyless entry with superlocking, central locking with anti hi-jack feature, engine immobiliser, 3 rear headrests, panoramic driver's door mirror and ISOFIX child seat anchorage points.

Comfort and Refinement

Although the new Micra is 30mm shorter than its predecessor, it is both wider and taller and its wheel base is 70mm longer. This result is a more roomy cabin and a higher driving position which gives a commanding view of the road ahead. Head and leg room is good but if you are very tall (over 6 feet tall) we would suggest you check that the drivers seat will go back far enough for you to find a comfortable seating position. The seats are comfortable but ultimately lack good lateral support.

The drivers seat is height adjustable and also features lumbar support. Whilst the leather covered steering wheel is tilt adjustable enabling you to attain the perfect driving position.

The new Micra may be a city car but it is a 5-seater and on road testing the vehicle we found that two adults or three small children can fit comfortably in the rear.

The Micra's level of refinement is high and includes: electric front windows with one touch function (driver's window), climate control air conditioning, electric door mirrors, front map reading lights, 12v power socket, interior fuel flap release and electric rear tailgate release.

How It Looks - Exterior

'The new Nissan Micra is a friendly car, there is no aggression about its styling at all' says Chris Reitz, Studio Chief Designer at Nissan Design Europe. With its curvaceous exterior lines, Nissan 'flying wing' grille and high-mounted 'bubble like' headlights Nissan have created a very cute car and during our time with the Micra it attracted many admiring glances. The rear of the Micra houses 'jewel-like rear light clusters incorporating circular reversing lights and indicators.

The Micra SX features body coloured front and rear bumpers, 15" alloy wheels, body coloured door mirror housings and handles, black rear roof spoiler and tinted front headlamp covers.
