Nissan Micra 1.5 DCi SX

Ease of Use

The new Micra couldn't be easier to drive, parking is effortless and visibility is excellent with large windows offering superb forward and side vision. The 3-door model is easy to access with large door openings which would be particularly helpful for getting young children in and out of the car or for someone with mobility problems.

The dashboard is ergonomically laid out with contemporary designed and simple to use controls. A trip computer is standard on the SX model which can be operated by steering wheel mounted controls. It displays information such as exterior temperature, service intervals, fuel consumption, trip distance, average speed, time and date. Up to 3 reminders can be programmed for birthdays and anniversaries - No more excuses for forgetting! The new Micra will even wish Happy Birthday to its owner on the appropriate day.

The steering wheel incorporates the audio controls keeping your hands where they belong - safely on the wheel.

On a practical level the Micra incorporates large door pockets, front and rear cup holders, a secret drawer for your mobile phone, a 13L multi-functional glove box with slide out tray and a storage box under the front passenger seat offering 12 litres of space.

The boot offers 237 litres of load space and with the rear sliding seat (60:40 split) slid forward by 200mm this is increased to 371 litres. The tailgate has a low sill to facilitate easy loading of bulky items. A luggage area light is standard on S models and above.

'Intelligent key' is also standard on the SX model which enables you to lock, unlock and start the new Micra without using the key as long as the 'Intelligent key' is within 80cm of the lock - in your pocket or bag/briefcase. This system is particularly helpful as you only have to push the button on the door to gain access and you can start the car by simply turning a switch. Gone are the days of searching for your keys.

Another helpful feature is 'friendly lighting' which leaves the headlights on for 2 minutes after locking the Micra enabling you to find you way to the front door without being plunged into darkness. 'Battery save' is another useful feature which automatically switches off any interior lights that may have been accidentally left on after a set period of time.

Automatic rain sensitive windscreen wipers are standard on the SX model and whenever reverse gear is selected the tailgate wiper activates cleaning the rear screen for improved visibility.
