The Nissan Micra’s own language of blending words to describe its character has now been added to with ACCESSITUDE – accessories to match your attitude.
A full range of items for Micra owners has been developed by Nissan, ranging from headlamp covers to potato peelers and from DVD players to frisbees. All provide a unique style combined with functional attributes.
Kids’ time in the car is made simple with an ISOFIX child seat for ease of fit, safety and comfort. Connect up the DVD multimedia player between the front seats, place the popcorn in the cupholder and hours of screaming children can be replaced with the sound of Scooby Doo, Shrek or even Pokemon.
There’s a choice of three types of satellite navigation system. The much acclaimed ‘Birdview™’ system which has a pop out and up screen provides the clearest view of the direction ahead. You can also choose from two types of arrow and voice based systems. Interior look and feel can also be enhanced with a range of silver or beige trims that fit around the instrument binnacle and air vents for a bit of down town Tokyo glamour.
Exteriors of both vehicle and human can now show off their individuality with some stylish clothing. Headlamp covers (for the car of course), alloy wheels and a full spoiler kit (available from July), not forgetting the mats and flaps, provide the vehicle makeover. Your body can be treated to a range of clothing which includes a sleeveless body warmer (known as a gilet…) that allows your arms to dangle free permitting unrestricted arm movement for trying out the Micra frisbee or perfecting your Micra kite flying skills.
The accessories don’t stop there. They can brighten up every room in your household too. Cappuccino and espresso cups, slanted glasses, salt and pepper pots, a garlic press, bottle openers and can openers for the kitchen are all styled with Japanese influenced lines. Alarm clocks, a radio and candle holders could be for the bedroom or lounge. And, if you have a particularly long driveway – the Micra has a friendly lighting system which leaves its headlamp on for 2 minutes – you could finish your journey with a Micra badged torch.
So, a complete range of goodies and all produced to the same high standard as your car.Published 25 March 2003
