Nissan Launches New LPG Primera With Full Manufacturer Warranty
Published: 29th March 2003
The conversion is available on the four, five door and estate versions of the 1.8 SE Primera and most importantly carries a full three-year/60,000 mile manufacturer warranty.
With a litre of LPG costing around 39 pence compared to around 79 pence per litre of unleaded petrol, the Primera driver could reduce his/her annual fuel costs by nearly half. This could reduce still further if you have access to bunkered fuel, which can cost less than 30 pence per litre.
Nissan has qualified for a 70% grant towards the cost of the conversion through Powershift, which leaves the 1.8 Primera SE costing just £1047.83 over and above the price of a standard 1.8 petrol model. Most importantly for drivers who make regular trips in and out of the new London congestion charging zone, the LPG Primera is exempt from the £5 daily congestion charge.
