For the third consecutive year Nissan’s X-TRAIL has been voted What Car’s? ‘best used 4x4’ by a panel of eight expert judges ranging from Director of British car auctions Simon Henstock through to What Car’s? road test editor Pete Tullin.
What Car’s? judges, said: “The X-TRAIL won last year’s award , but it’s even better value now. With a reputation for reliability, the X-TRAIL is a tough customer; its solid interior is durable and therefore should be more than able to handle the rigours of everyday family life.”
The X-TRAIL comes with a choice of three engines: 140PS 2.0-litre and 165PS 2.5-litre petrol, and a 136PS 2.2-litre common-rail diesel. There was also a 4x2 version introduced, sharing the same 2.0-petrol and 2.2-litre dCi engines with the award winning 4x4 range.
Since September 2007 an all new X-TRAIL has been introduced with a revised engine line up and new interior layout, incorporating even more luggage and storage space. Continuing in the award winning way it has already been chosen as 4x4 magazine’s soft-roader of the year 2008.
