The new Nissan Juke Nismo RS will go on sale in December priced from £21,650.
The Juke Nismo RS is powered by Nissan’s 1.6-litre DIG-T which has been reworked to the power output to 218PS with torque taken from 250Nm to 280Nm in two-wheel-drive manual guise. To help power delivery two-wheel-drive models will benefit from a mechanical Limited Slip Differential (LSD) on the front axle, where four-wheel-drive editions will feature a Torque Vectoring System and 250Nm of torque.
If you opt for the Xtronic eight-speed transmission over the six-speed manual it will feature steering wheel-mounted paddle shifts as standard.
The Juke Nismo RS benefits from body strengthening to increase torsional stiffness, upgraded brakes, stiffer spring and damper settings. It also features a re-tuned exhaust system to ensure a more raucous sound track
There will be a choice of three colours, Storm White, Pearl Black and Blade Silver – where the interior colour will remain the same.
Exterior styling will include lower front and rear bumpers, wider wings and sill side skirts, plus a dark chrome V-motion grille and a tailgate spoiler. There are new LED daytime running lights, 18-inch alloy wheels that house the red brake calipers, red door mirror caps and a red pinstripe that encircles the bottom of the car.
The interior gains NISMO sports inspired steering wheel, pedals, gauges, gear knob and door trims. There are bespoke suede-trimmed sports seats with red stitching to ensure extra support during cornering.
Options include special Recaro sports "bucket" seats and the Safety Pack comprising Xenon headlamps, Nissan's Around View Monitor and Safety Shield, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning and Moving Object Detection giving visual and audible warnings to avoid potential collisions.Published 2 November 2014
